Fort Bragg Area Church Training Military
Personnel for Another Mission–the Gospel.

Cross Creek Presbyterian Church
Fayetteville, North Carolina
An “EE church” since 2005
Sunday church attendance: 100-125
Pastor Jim Braden
Committed to:
• Training dozens in EE
• Sending out trainers everywhere
• Gospel shared with all ages

This small church of 100 to 125 people has a high turnover rate. Cross Creek is located in Fayetteville, the home of Fort Brag, known as the “Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces. Fort Bragg also houses the U.S. Parachute Team called the Golden Knights.

Thus, many church families move on to military orders after two or three years. It is important to equip this “transient” membership with the Gospel through Evangelism Explosion. EE gives them a second mission.

Cross Creek began implementing EE in the fall of 2005. Church Elder, Miguel A. del Toro, Jr., assists with the EE ministry at Cross Creek. “In just a few years of EE, we have equipped 12 members and have seen 22 professions of faith in Christ,” Miguel says.

“In some sense, we see ourselves as a sending church where our mission is to disciple our military membership and send them on their way. Equipping people who may leave us is the important task of our EE ministry.”
