Risk in Russia
Alexander Bondar, EE Coordinator in Central Asia, was invited by the chief of the district KGB office in Almalyk (Uzbekistan) to attend a meeting. During the meeting, he was warned to keep all the laws. A new law was recently enacted that prohibits the open sharing of the Gospel. The KGB watch him and know about his EE ministry. Please pray for Alexander and his EE ministry in Uzbekistan.
Train ride to heaven
EE Trainer, Zephaniah Yu, was riding the train from Nanjing to Huangshan. During the ride, he wasted no time to share the Gospel. First, he talked to a young girl who prayed to receive Christ as her Savior. After she got off the train at the first stop, a young man sat next to him.Zephaniah learned that the young man was a graduate of Metallurgy, working on his masters degree. Zephaniah turned the conversation to spiritual topics, and shared the Gospel. The young man said that the Gospel made sense to him, but he wasnÍt ready to make a profession. ñI believe the seed was planted in his heart,î Zephaniah says. ñHe said that he would contact me by email.î
Then, Zephaniah shared the Gospel with a middle-age lady who sat near him on the other side of the aisle. She listened intently and then prayed to receive Christ. ñShe followed my prayer to God word by word,î Zephaniah recalls. ñI gave her a Bible from a conference I had recently attended. She could hardly believe it was a free gift!î
Finally, Zephaniah talked with a travel agent who sat opposite him. The travel agent wanted to talk business, but Zephaniah was thinking of eternal business. ñI asked him if he was satisfied with his life,î remarked Zephaniah. ñHe responded that his life was really meaningless.î Zephaniah shared the Gospel. ñHe requested that I share with him one more time,î Zephaniah remembers. ñI explained some key Bible verses and he professed his faith in Christ and promised to find a church home.î Zephaniah gave him the name of the Huangshan church.
Saved Scot
Maggie is 99 years old. Scottish. Full of life. She reads. Walks. And still has a sharp mind. But she didnÍt know how she could get to heaven. SheÍs been in a nursing home the past eight years because she had no family to care for her.She had been in a cult, and only heard from them when they wanted money. It made her think about her relationships with them in a different light. Then, an EE team visited her. The Gospel was presented and Maggie prayed to receive Christ. She realized that God loved her and sent the EE team to tell her the Good News. Maggie is now a witness in the nursing home, using the large print EE "Do You Know" tracts to share with others.
