The Lighthouse Movement

Since prayer is what builds and sustains the EE ministry, we are calling all Americans to a lifestyle of prayer and evangelism.

Please remember to tune in to Light the Nation, a live TV special broadcast from Madison Square Garden. It will be aired on Saturday morning, October 16, on Pax TV channels as well as Sky Angel. This will be an historic movement of God to gather the nation together for inspiration, motivation, and training.

Covering Haiti with the Gospel

An EE clinic was held in Cambry, Haiti, July 12-26, during Vacation Bible School. It turned out to be one of the largest clinics ever! 518 clinicians graduated representing 200 churches. There were 737 professions of faith in Christ and 1,068 people who prayed for assurance of their faith in Christ. There were also 48 children who received Christ as Savior.

During August, a 30-minute EE radio show aired on Radio Lumere that provided EE ministry training and praise reports from churches. Radio Lumere covers more than half of Haiti, including the largest city, Port au Prince.

In the face of danger, EE goes on

Due to heavy guerrilla activity in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, in Latin America, a July EE clinic was cancelled. It was rescheduled for August 13-18. Fifteen pastors and leaders from three denominations attended.

The clinic was carried out under extremely dangerous conditions. Guerrillas control one part of the area and the paramilitary, the other. There are no government forces (law and order), in this area. In spite of the danger, the clinic was a success.

There were 28 professions of faith in Christ as Savior. There are now four churches involved in EE.

The senior pastor of a church in Puerto Asis said, "For the first time we received something permanent. Evangelists come and go. But you brought training to the leadership of this church. You taught us how to evangelize and now we have dozens of open doors in the community. Thank you for coming!"

A second clinic is planned for next year.

Salvation breakfast

The Conservative Baptist Church in the Philippines is reaching more than 200 subdivisions in the town of Imus. They've developed a novel idea.

Once every three months, on a Saturday, a big breakfast is served to all available EE-certified trainers. Following a 30-minute worship and prayer time, the teams are sent out to selected subdivisions and use EE's assurance questionnaires. The response has been overwhelming. Home Bible studies on first visits have begun. Currently, 150 EE trainers take part in the salvation breakfast.
