Child witnesses
The following letter recently arrived at our International offices:
My name is Jordan Starling. I am eleven years old. I am a Christian. I just started witnessing to other people. Your Partners in Growing booklets are very helpful witnessing tools. If they are free, would you please send me about 20 of them? They will be used for evangelism through Jesus Christ.
If an 11 year old can do it . . .
Update in Indonesia
EE Vice President for Oceania, Rod Story, reports that while riots continue in Indonesia, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is bringing a message of hope and reconciliation.
During the upheaval, an EE training clinic was taking place in Jakarta, where much of the unrest is centered. The Gospel was shared with 60 people and 33 prayed to receive Christ. One taxi driver said: Never has anyone told me about this news of Gods love and grace. He then added, Can you imagine how much God must love me? He allowed me to pick you up as my passengers this evening.
Latin America
In Costa Rica, Woody Lajara, EE Vice President for Latin America, praises God for His faithfulness. A pastor from a church here said that when they started EE, they had 90 members. Three years later, they have 450 active members and another 200 that come frequently but have not yet joined.
The church Iglesia Cruzada Cristiana de Santya Isabel in Bogota, Colombia began EE, and in five years, saw their congregation grow from 150 to 3,000!
They also use Childrens and Youth EE. Theyve trained 40 children who witness on Sunday afternoons.
One of those children is named Camilo. As an orphan, Camilo, at age six, turned to the streets. Some of the children in the church presented the Gospel to Camilo. He accepted Jesus and eventually joined the church.
Now Camilo is an EE trainer and takes EE teams to those same streets he grew up on. This enthusiastic 12 year old shares his testimony boldly and confidently!
Europe
From Pastor Venco Nakov in Stip, Macedonia.
The EE ministry is so good that Id like for all pastors and church planters here to be trained in EE. I am so thankful to God for the EE clinic we had here in November. Three of us were trained. It is the best tool I know for personal evangelism.
From Pastor Onisim Mladin, in Arad, Romania
When I was invited for an EE clinic in Fort Lauderdale in 1990, I didnt know the value of EE. Meanwhile, Romania went through many political, social, and economic changes which were reflected in the churches. The time for crusade evangelism seems to have passed here, but not for personal evangelism. EE fills the need to train people for personal evangelism in the local church.
