Victory in a Mall

We hear wonderful testimonies weekly from EE teams sharing the Gospel across the world. The following testimony is from Tom Corso who has been involved with EE for 15 years.

“During one EE night, two of our teams went to the mall. I went with my team to one side of the mall and the other team went to the other side. Both teams led one person to Christ.”

“As we met in the middle of the mall to share our experiences, the two people who accepted Christ came together and ended up to be father and son! That family came to the mall and left with the greatest gift ever given to them, without spending a penny!”

Fishers of men

A pastor shares this divine appointment:

“During Wednesday night, one of our EE teams felt led of the Lord to go to the fishing pier to share the Gospel with anyone who might be receptive. They came upon a gentleman named Don and his brother who were fishing. Don’s brother seemed to be receptive to the “intrusion” but Don simply rolled his eyes in dismay.”

“To make a long story short, Don ended up with tears receiving Christ as his Savior. The team then learned that Don’s brother was a missionary to Japan who came to visit his brother in hopes of seeing him come to Christ, but had not yet known exactly what to say to him. He had just prayed, that before he departed the next day, that his brother would be saved.”

Prison ministry

This report from T.J. Murvin, EE Prison Ministry Director:

“Recently, during on-the-job training at a prison, five teams led ten inmates to the Lord. A young man that I witnessed to was so excited he could not contain himself. An older man who professed Christ the previous week was baptized. Indeed, many souls in prison are being set afire for the Lord.”

Retirement—God’s plan?

Bernie and Alice Cull of Phoenix, Arizona are in their 80’s, and they don’t know the meaning of the word “retirement.”

“On November 5, 1993, at 2 a.m., God woke me and asked me to form S.W.A.T. (Soul Winning Attack Team),” said Bernie.

Bernie and his wife felt called to go into areas victimized by drive-by shootings. “God was communicating to me that gang members won’t think of death until it comes to their home or their neighbors. But for every one that is shot, He’d give us 50 that will pray to receive Christ.”

Using EE, Bernie and Alice have had incredible results. In 1994, their EE team led 2,226 to Christ. In 1995, they had 3,218 professions. In 1996, 4,208 came to the Lord. Said Bernie, “We try to do what we can to get them followed up.”

While health problems limited their evangelism in 1997, things are looking up in 1998. “Just last week we had 22 professions.”

Bernie recently called EE to order more Partners in Growing and Partners in Discipleship booklets. “I can’t put them down,” said Bernie, “they’re such a great help.”

God is using our older generation to multiply the harvest! “If you’re called of God, you can’t leave Him,” concludes Bernie. “Your heart burns with the love you have for Him!”
